They Call It Labor for a Reason

I read the article about natural childbirth with great interest. Much of what you printed is true for most people.

I wish you would give a few words to couples who choose the Bradley Method. I have taught Bradley classes for the last 26 years, and in my classes more than 90% of the 4,000 couples have had unmedicated births. Yes, some people end up with medication or a Cesarean, but only after they have done their very best.

Couples today taking the Bradley Method are given information on how to stay low-risk, how to give birth and how to coach. This is what is missing in most other childbirth classes. In other classes excessive amounts of time are spent on medication, problems that could arise, hospital procedures, forms to fill out and how to observe a birth.

Other classes are teaching the fluff, not the basic techniques. No wonder couples cannot achieve a natural birth.
