HomeAid for Homeless: Burrow Escrow in Santa Ana raised $10,000 for support of the Orange County Building Industry Assn.’s HomeAid program at its first annual fund-raising golf tournament Monday.

HomeAid, sponsored by the BIA, is a program that raises cash and provides donated materials, labor and services to build, revamp and enlarge shelters for the temporarily homeless. Since its inception in mid-1989, the Orange County program has pumped an estimated $2 million in cash and in-kind donations into 10 homeless shelter projects.

Burrow has held golf tournaments for three years and decided this year to begin donating proceeds to HomeAid, said Andrea Bertrand, Burrow general manager. Bertrand said Burrow will also donate a percentage of its gross annual sales to HomeAid at the end of the year.
