Associated Press
FORKS, Wash. —
Two teen-agers shooting at an explosives bunker touched off a blast that killed one youth cost the other his right leg, authorities said.
The teen-agers were about 70 yards from the clearly marked, 8-by-10-foot steel building containing dynamite and ammonium nitrate when it exploded Monday in a blast felt seven miles away, sheriff’s officials said.
The bunker had been used to store explosives for rock-blasting and other construction uses, a state official said.
