A couple watching television Wednesday night with the front door open were robbed and their car full of jewelry was stolen by two men, one carrying an Uzi, authorities said.

The couple, who were not identified, were in their home in the 18000 block of Theodora Drive when two men wearing black stockings over their heads walked in at 9 p.m. and ordered the two to lie on the floor, Sheriff’s Lt. Larry Richey said.

“The suspects went to the bedroom and took jewelry and went to the garage and took” the couple’s Toyota Camry and fled, he said.

The car’s trunk was full of jewelry “because the woman was in the jewelry business,” Richey said.

The men wore black turtleneck sweaters, jeans and tennis shoes, Richey said.

No shots were fired and no one was injured, authorities said.
