The Death of Arturo Jimenez
On Election Day throughout Latino communities, you see posters reading “ Su voto es su voz “--”Your vote is your voice,” but some people of the community are loosing confidence in the political process and their elected officials.
Sad to say that the killing of Arturo Jimenez in the Ramona Gardens project by the Sheriff’s Department has angered many people in the Mexican-American community. Police brutality and racism are not new issues.
How many more incidents is it going to take before the Latino elected officials voice the concerns of the community?
