Pansies Dress Up Flower Beds, Keep Gardens in Color

Share

Dress up the flower beds, containers, borders and bulb beds with pansies. Their popularity is well founded because they bring lots of color into the garden from the day you plant them until the following spring.

Pansies and their cousins, Violas, are available in a mixture of colors and flats of single colors. You can choose from white all the way through the color spectrum to the deepest purple or black!

Combine them with dwarf snapdragons, Iceland poppies, Sweet William, primroses and stock for a tremendous fall flower show. Be sure to enrich the soil before planting.

Place the pansies six to eight inches apart and in full sun if you live along the coastal areas or in partial shade elsewhere. Pinch the plants often to spur on fresh growth and larger blooms.
