“Forging new financial partnerships for affordable housing” is the topic of a daylong conference to be held Sept. 27 at the Westin Bonaventure Hotel in downtown Los Angeles.
The conference is being sponsored by the Southern California Assn. of Non-Profit Housing, a group that supports nonprofit housing-development organizations.
Several leaders from the public, private and nonprofit sectors will discuss new approaches to partnership programs. State Treasurer Kathleen Brown will deliver the morning keynote address.
A luncheon presentation will be made by Dean Schultz, president of the Federal Home Loan Bank of San Francisco. State Sen. David A. Roberti (D-Los Angeles) will receive the group’s annual award for his “leadership and commitment” to make housing more affordable.
Registration for the 9 a.m.-5 p.m. conference and the following “networking” reception is $60 for members of the association and $95 for non-members. Those registering after Sept. 10 must pay an extra $5, and group discounts are available.
More information can be obtained from the agency’s headquarters, (213) 480-1249.
