P&G; Announces Soviet Joint Venture: Procter & Gamble Co. said it will form a joint venture with Leningrad State University to market consumer products in the Soviet Union. The initial focus of the venture will be a few P&G; brands imported from Europe, although those products eventually could be made in the Soviet Union, the company said. Procter & Gamble makes and markets a wide range of food, cleaning and other consumer products.
