MEXICO CITY —
A total of 621 cases of cholera have been reported in Mexico since the Health Ministry confirmed the outbreak of the virus in a remote area south of the capital in June, officials said Wednesday.
They said that only eight Mexicans have died from the disease so far and that the strain of the virus is apparently much weaker than the one that has killed more than 1,500 people in South America this year.
