Britain Finds Faulty Cells

LONDON —
Britain has discovered a design fault at new jails that allows prisoners to escape from their cells, the Home Office said Sunday. The fault was found after a riot at a young offenders’ prison, where inmates broke open ventilation grills above cell toilets, wriggled into service ducts and reached central areas, a spokeswoman said.
