Paris Office for Optima: Optima Technology Corp., an Irvine manufacturer of mass storage systems for computers, said it will open a regional facility in Paris later this month to market its products in Europe. As part of an effort to provide better customer support through efficient distribution, the company also opened a Far East regional facility in Singapore last month to market its products in Asia. International markets accounted for 33% of the company’s annual sales of about $22 million last year, with Western Europe and Japan being the largest buyers, said Hamid Assadian, vice president of research and development. Assadian said Optima supplies mass storage systems to the high-end computer market. Its clients include International Business Machines Corp., Apple Computer Inc. and Compaq Computer Corp.
