Pomona : Finance Director Named

Jose R. Sanchez, former finance director with the cities of Montebello, El Segundo and South Gate, is the new finance director in Pomona, succeeding Elray Konkel.
The City Council on Tuesday confirmed the appointment made by City Administrator Julio Fuentes.
Sanchez, who will earn $78,000 a year, has 20 years of experience in municipal finance.
Konkel left Pomona to become assistant finance director in Corona.
