Drug Laws and Morality

You could have knocked me over with a feather when I read the news report “Inmate Study Links Crime, Drug Habits” (Aug. 26). What a shocking revelation! How many of my tax dollars went to pay for that brilliant study?

Here is a suggestion for another study: Interview 219,000 mothers and ask them how many had sex nine months before the arrival of their babies? It just might nail down a connection. In light of this and other idiotic and/or alarmist news, i.e., barbecuing causes cancer, etc., I strongly suggest that intelligent human beings be added to the endangered species list.
