World IN BRIEF : CONGO : At Least 100 Killed as Trains Collide

Two trains crashed head-on in the Congo, and the government said that more than 100 people were killed. Officials said that about 50 of the 66 people hospitalized after the accident were in critical condition. A passenger train traveling from the Atlantic Ocean port of Pointe Noire collided with a freight train carrying timber from Brazzaville, the capital of the Central African nation.
