Abortion and the Handicapped

Share

My wonderful mother is handicapped so I can empathize with much of Navarro’s article concerning the right to a life. But as a mother I think she makes light of the “inconvenience” of motherhood. I suggest she ask her mother whether babies are inconvenient for only “nine months and a couple of years thereafter.”

I know my mother’s life is still profoundly affected by the children she bore 40-odd years ago and by the existence of her grandchildren. A mother’s job does not end a few years after birth but does and should continue for generations.
