DADDY’S GIRLS

Share

I read “Daddy’s Girls” by Lynn Smith (Aug. 4) and cried. I, too, was raped by my father when I was a child, and it truly is the ultimate betrayal.

My wholehearted empathy and admiration go to Jackie, Donna and Deirdre Lewis for facing the truth about being raped and molested by their father, for confronting him and for going public. They are very courageous women.

Every victim of incest or molestation deserves compassion and understanding. Whether victims seek professional help or not, their lives are affected forever.
