Perfecting Complaints

Thank you for Peter Greenberg’s piece, “Mastering the Fine Art of of Complaining,” Sept. 1. From the grumbling I hear, it seems an article that deserved to be written. His reminder to “Take names and numbers” is a major point, easy to forget to do amidst some sort of problem. I might only add that a letter to the president or CEO of the offending company sometimes works miracles. If he passes it down to an underling and says, “Take care of this,” it’s sure to be taken care of.
