RTC to Hold Auction: The Resolution Trust Corp., the agency handling the saving and loan cleanup, will auction 14 of the most valuable properties in its massive real estate inventory, including the Doubletree Resort, a luxury hotel in Cathedral City, Calif., with a loan value of $35 million. The “premier commercial auction,” scheduled Nov. 21, will include office buildings in California, Arizona, Missouri and Texas, a shopping center in Florida and a retirement community in Ohio.
