Car Insurance Dilemma

Share

In response to “In Turnaround, Garamendi Backs No-Fault,” front page, Sept. 6:

It is quite frustrating to be faced with yet another insurance commissioner who supports the insurance industry-backed no-fault proposal. John Garamendi refuses to listen to the will of the people as expressed in the defeat of insurance-backed initiatives. When will the insurance companies get the message that people do not want a system that rewards careless drivers by shielding them from liability, and punishes good drivers by having to pay for damages caused by others’ carelessness?

Insurance companies are like any other business: They exist to make a profit. You can be sure that any no-fault proposal put forth by the insurance industry has an end result of more money in their pockets.
