OXNARD : Housing Authority to Weigh 5-Year Plan

The Oxnard Housing Authority today will consider a five-year modernization plan for the city’s 780 public-housing units.

The $11.8-million plan, to be funded by grants from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, has 85 separate projects, including renovation of the Colonia Senior Center, and the addition of rear-yard fencing and lock replacements at Colonia Village and Pleasant Valley Homes.

Also included are fire alarms and new bathrooms at Plaza Vista and construction of a masonry block wall around Pleasant Valley Homes.
