COSTA MESA : O.C. Fair Board Picks New President

Larry M. Arnold of Newport Beach has been named the 1991-92 president of the Orange County Fair Board of Directors.

He replaces Beverly Langston, who served the 1990-91 term. Arnold has been a board member since 1983. He was board president in 1986-87 and has been active on several fair-related committees.

As president, Arnold will lead the nine-member, governor-appointed board of directors, which sets the policies for the operations of the Orange County Fair and Exposition Center.

Arnold is a senior partner at the law firm of Cummins & White in Santa Ana Heights. He is also on the board of directors for the Newport Beach Little League and is a member of the Orange County 4-H Support Group.

Don Willet was named vice president of the board. Willet, a public affairs and political consultant, operates the Don Willet Co. in Newport Beach.

Since 1972, Willet has worked with government, political and private industry leaders throughout the state. He has served as executive director of the California Republican Party and has worked in various capacities on several political campaigns.

Board members are appointed for four-year terms and serve without pay.

The board also reelected Norbert Bartosik, the fair’s general manager, as secretary-treasurer for the 32nd District Agricultural Assn.
