New Telecommunications Firm: British Telecom is expected to announce a new global telecommunications subsidiary. The new Atlanta-based unit to be named today bills itself as the first to offer multinational companies a full range of worldwide telecommunications services, including operations personnel, from a single source. The new company is seen as a potential significant competitor to AT&T;, which is still working to establish similar services.
