La Canada Flintridge : Rotary Grants for Teachers
The La Canada Flintridge Rotary Club vocational service committee has established a Teachers Mini-Grant Program for La Canada elementary schools.
The program is designed to provide money to teachers who want to explore new classroom techniques and innovative projects. Any La Canada public school teacher in kindergarten through sixth grade can apply for a grant ranging from $50 to $200 by filling out an application describing the project, its costs and benefit to students. Applications are being distributed through school principals.
Rotary officials said the grants will be awarded to teachers who would not otherwise have sources of funding or who would have to use their own money to support the projects.
