COUNTYWIDE : Lagomarsino Leaves for Moscow Meeting

Rep. Robert J. Lagomarsino (R-Ventura) has left for a weeklong trip to Moscow, where he will attend a “democracy building” conference with members of the Soviet republics.
Representatives from Russia, the Ukraine, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Georgia and Mongolia are expected to participate in the conference. Workshops will be taught by U.S. political experts, a spokesman from Lagomarsino’s office said. Lagomarsino left Wednesday.
The conference is to enhance the understanding of democratic institutions after 74 years of communist rule, the spokesman said.
