UNDECIDED: Biological sciences is still the favorite major, listed by 28% of the 2,725 freshmen entering UCI this fall, but second in popularity, at 23%, is “I don’t know.” . . . That’s the most undeclared majors ever, admissions boss Dunning says. What it means is that students feel more comfortable trying various subjects on for size, instead of feeling stampeded to declare a major before their junior year.
