Glendale : Big Band Going to Spain

The Verdugo Swing Society, a Glendale-based 18-piece big band, has been chosen to represent the United States at the U.S. Pavilion of UniversalExpo ‘91, in Seville, Spain, next June.

The society was founded in 1987 to promote swing as the mainstream American music from the 1930s through the 1990s.

It has staged over 300 performances in Los Angeles and Orange counties.
