A woman was shot to death in Compton and her friend critically wounded after they were lured to a motel and forced to perform lewd acts, authorities said Sunday.

The two women were held at gunpoint and forced by two men and a woman to perform lewd acts in a room at the Days Inn in the 5900 block of Long Beach Boulevard in North Long Beach at about 10 p.m. Saturday, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Deputy Rafael Estrada said.

The two women were then driven to the 1500 block of Tartar Lane in Compton and shot several times, killing J’neane Grissie, 20, and critically wounding her 24-year-old friend, Estrada said.

The identity of the woman who survived the attack and the name of the hospital where she was taken were withheld to protect her from retaliation, Estrada said.
