Cooperation Urged as 50th Anniversary of Pearl Harbor Nears

TOKYO — The United States sees the 50th anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor as a reminder of the need to work with Japan rather an occasion for anger and bitterness, U.S. Ambassador Michael Armacost said Friday.
The 50th anniversary of Japan’s attack on the U.S. fleet at Pearl Harbor, which drew the United States into World War II, falls on Dec. 7.
