DEATH & TAXES: It already costs more this year to get married or file a lawsuit. Now, thanks to a proposal from the Sheriff-Coroner’s Department, it may soon cost more to die too. . . . Under a proposal to be considered by the supervisors next week, the coroner would begin charging $119 to remove a body and $178 to embalm it. Family members would have to pick up that tab--just one more cost residents are being asked to bear because of the county’s budget crisis.
