QUEEN REDUX: Orange County Fair Queen used to be a prestigious title, with the chosen lady reigning over fair activities. Those times are gone--the fair stopped crowning queens after 1983--but fair folks want to bring some of the flavor back for next year’s 100th anniversary. They’ve sent flyers to nursing homes and senior citizen centers in attempt to track down queens as far back as 1911. . . . “We think they can add a lot of history for our anniversary,” says the fair’s Lynda Conway.
