The Message of ‘In Love and In Danger’
“In Love and In Danger” was extremely important and well researched and well written. The issue of teen dating violence has been so hidden and ignored. I applaud Robin Abcarian for her coverage of this important subject.
I am writing to add to the resources listed in the article. The Family Violence Project of Jewish Family Service has a teen violence-prevention program, based on Barrie Levy’s curriculum, and it is available for school classrooms in the Los Angeles area. For more information, please call (818) 908-5007.
The Los Angeles Commission on Assaults Against Women, (213) 655-4235, has teen abuse-prevention posters available to schools and other organizations serving teens.
The Santa Monica Rape and Treatment Center has a program geared to public school students focused on date rape prevention: (213) 319-4000.
