Woman at Home Has Valid Lifestyle Too

Share

This letter is in response to “Juggling the Image of Working Mothers” (Oct. 22) (in which book author Faye Crosby suggests) that we “forget guilt” when thinking of women who are balancing jobs and family. OK. But let’s also forget slamming the woman who stays home as not whole and somehow a less valid person.

Women, please, let’s recognize that different lifestyles satisfy different women, and stop trying to rationalize and juggle the surveys and statistics to justify your own path--career or stay at home.

Let’s work to understand the need to strengthen the standing of all women’s roles and to increase the power of women in general in a male-dominated society.
