Black Home Is Target of Cross-Burning, Vandalism

DUBUQUE, Iowa —
A cross was burned Tuesday outside the home of a black family and a rock was thrown through a window, police said. No injuries were reported. The cross, marked with racial epithets, was set ablaze about four blocks from the site of five cross-burnings Sunday, police said.
