Proposal to Register Guns

I applaud Walters for her proposal. Such a system is long overdue and extremely practical. A society as large and diverse as ours must establish some rules when dealing with potentially dangerous situations. This is why people take driving tests to operate cars and professional exams to serve the public.

I am sick of the National Rifle Assn. trying to make this into a constitutional rights argument. Recent events in Eastern Europe make it overwhelmingly clear that an unarmed uprising of the people can be successful against a powerful military.
