Viewer Addiction

In response to “Hitting TV With the Off Switch” (The Times, Oct. 28): I, for one, am highly in favor of the principal of this “boycott,” but regret that there is no way in this world that it will ever work. Television watchers are like cigarette smokers: Until the dangers really hit on them, they’re hooked.
