Giving Back: More than 1,000 homeless people are expected to attend a 1 p.m. screening of the film “The Giving” today at the State Theater in downtown L.A. Homeless people had much to do with the production of the independent film, which is about homelessness. Homeless people worked on-screen as actors as well as behind the scenes during filming last year on Skid Row. Free popcorn and soda will be given to the homeless attending the screening. The movie is seeking a distribution deal.
