Re “At Last, a Silver Lining in Black Clouds Over Kuwait,” Oct. 29:
Now that we have driven Iraq out of Kuwait and Kuwaiti oil fires are near extinction, one firestorm still rages. This fire burns in the hungry bellies of 1 million Iraqi children; 900,000 children are malnourished and suffering. This unnatural inferno can be extinguished by eliminating its cause--the non-military sanctions. Otherwise we are guilty of Holocaust II.
