Amplicon Inc.: The Santa Ana company, which sells and leases high-tech equipment, posted a 25% gain in net earnings for the first fiscal quarter, to $2 million, or 35 cents per share, from $1.6 million, or 26 cents per share, for the like period last year. Revenue for the quarter ended Sept. 30 dropped 17%, to $31.5 million from $37.8 million.
