Disney Hiring Office to Move: After 37 years at Disneyland, the employment office for the resort is moving to a new site a few blocks from the amusement park. The new Disneyland Resort Casting Center will be moved to the Stadium Towers Plaza, 2400 E. Katella Ave. in Anaheim, starting Monday. It will do all the hiring, or “casting” as the Walt Disney Co. prefers, for Disneyland, the Disneyland Hotel and the Queen Mary/Spruce Goose attractions in Long Beach. “We needed more room for recruiting and hiring activities,” said Disneyland Employment Manager Jeri Beals. “When you’re dealing with a work force of 14,000, you need more room just to stay organized.” The Disneyland Resort is the name for the proposed $3-billion project that Disney wants to build in Anaheim. It would include a second theme park next to Disneyland, hotels and other amenities.
