4 Die, 29 Hurt in Crush at India Bathing Festival

NEW DELHI —
Four pilgrims were killed and 29 injured in a stampede Thursday in the Hindu holy city of Hardwar, where more than half a million people had gathered to bathe in the Ganges River, the Press Trust of India said.
The stampede occurred in a narrow lane leading to a temple on the banks of the river, the news agency said.
