TRUE BELIEVERS
What I find so dismaying is that in the context of the Bush Administration’s recently announced negative attitude toward Israel, your newspaper has decided to up the ante by publishing an article (“True Believers,” Oct. 13) that is extremely unflattering and biased in tone, context and reporting toward American Jews who live on the West Bank.
It has become politically acceptable to severely criticize Israel. Your newspaper has gone one step further, to see if it is publicly acceptable to publish general anti-Jewish propaganda.
What I see happening is that we are at the beginning of a trend that is likely to lead to increased public and private hostility toward Israel, Zionism and American Jews.
