Haitian Refugees
New Year news: State Department spokeswoman Margaret Tutwiler’s lies, saying on national TV, “No one’s proven (that) these people are afraid for their lives (in Haiti, or) that you cannot sleep at night in your home for someone’s coming in and going to kill you . . .” (“Haitian Violence Belies U.S. Denial of Danger,” Nov. 22). But reports trickle in around the nation of the terror in Haiti.
President Bush, the Democratic presidential candidates and Congress remain demonically silent to Serbian terror. Croats are slaughtered as Serbs march through Vukovar and other Yugoslavian towns and cities.
The “new world order” is welcomed in 1992 with but a whisper of discontent.
