BUENOS AIRES —
Argentina’s vice president, Eduardo Duhalde, stepped down last week to become the new governor of the province of Buenos Aires.
His resignation makes Senate speaker Eduardo Menem, a younger brother of President Carlos Menem, next-in-line on the presidential succession list.
