THE RAGE OF THE BLACK MIDDLE CLASS

As Sam Fulwood III is angered by lingering racism in our society, I am saddened by the pervasive nature of evil and cruelty in our world.

I’m sad because the cruel people who hurt Fulwood also hurt me. But I can’t associate my pain with the color of my skin, my gender or my sexual preference. I am a white, heterosexual male. Rage on, black middle class. But please focus your anger where it belongs: human self-interest and cruelty. The enemy truly is within each of us.
