Milken Eligible for Parole After Shorter Time: The U.S. Parole Commission said junk-bond financier Michael Milken will be eligible for parole after serving 40 months of his 10-year prison term for tax and securities violations. The decision by the full commission overturned an earlier ruling by a parole panel that Milken must serve 44 months before he could be released from prison on parole. Acting on Milken’s administrative appeal, the full commission said he will be eligible for release from the Pleasanton federal prison in Dublin, Calif., on June 30, 1994.
