CBS’ Condom Stance Appears Hypocritical
I almost fell out of my chair laughing when I read that CBS “did not want to offend viewers who might perceive condom ads as an endorsement of promiscuous sexual activity” (“Fox to Air Ads for Condoms,” Nov. 12).
Am I confused? I thought that their long-running “Knots Landing” endorsed promiscuous sexual activity!
And isn’t this the same network that pulled reruns of “Pee Wee’s Playhouse” because he was allegedly practicing the one form of sex guaranteed not to spread disease or result in unwanted children?
