Smith’s Acquittal on Rape Charge
Concerning the Smith rape trial, let us for the moment disregard the legal and moral aspects. How about the medical viewpoint and the threat of AIDS?
Here is a young man, nay a (prospective) physician, who picks up a woman at a bar and has “unprotected sex” with her in about an hour.
If this is the usual behavior for both of them, either one could have infected the other with the HIV virus. It wouldn’t be a bad idea for them to have a conversation with Magic Johnson also. Our heterosexual population is now engaging in activities that pose more of a threat to the world than the atomic bomb.
