From Times Staff and Wire Reports
Rain continued to fall on already soaked sections of Texas, swelling creeks and rivers, flooding roads and forcing evacuations. Three deaths were blamed on the deluge. Central Texas took the brunt of the slow-moving storm that has been over the state since early in the week and is expected to remain through the weekend. Firefighters in San Antonio rescued several people from stalled vehicles. One man was reported missing after at least five vehicles were swept off a road and into Leon Creek.
