Criticism, Praise for GOP Financiers

What do you do when you don’t get what you paid for (“GOP Developers’ Clinton Gambit Is Signal to Bush,” Dec. 6)?
Kathryn Thompson and Roger Johnson--wealthy contributors to President Bush’s 1988 campaign--invite a few of their rich friends to hear Gov. Bill Clinton’s “ideas,” thereby sending a clear message to the President: Give us what we paid for or we will give our bucks to a man who can! Threaten him. Hold him hostage in order to achieve your own agenda. This behavior is appalling to me--it’s downright un-American.
Whatever happened to the old-fashioned method of working within your party structure for a solution to a problem?
