OH, GROW UP!

Share

Like most baby boomers, I am fascinated with my own generation (“Oh, Grow Up!,” by Lynn Smith, Nov. 17). I can’t shake the feeling that something happened to us back in the ‘60s and early ‘70s that sets us apart.

Now, with the economy in the toilet, it is difficut to be optimistic. But I’m not ready to roll up in a ball and die. Jackson Browne wrote in his song, “The Pretender,” “I want to know what became of the changes we waited for love to bring?/Were they only the fitful dreams of some greater awakening?” Now is the time for the awakening.
